Mini Bridge

Ms Francis and Mrs Sharpe have been teaching P6 and 7 to play Bridge this year. More accurately Mrs Sharpe has been teaching the children and Ms Francis has been cheering from the sidelines!! The class started at the beginning of term and all the children are planning on entering the Scottish Championships this year. Our local final is in Elgin and it’s not many weeks away now. Apart from learning Mini-Bridge the children have been improving their arithmetic, their powers of concentration and ability to think ahead and work as a team. Well done and good luck.

Here we are at the final 19th April 2016. Everyone played really well but we didn’t win. Ms Francis was complimented on the polite manners of the St Thomas children though so she for one was delighted with the day out. Thank you Ms Blake and Stuart’s mum who came with us and for Mrs Sharpe who met us there. Mrs Stewart even made a guest appearance !
