Today was Armistice Day and our whole school fell silent for a minute at eleven o’clock. P6/7 took a trip down to the war memorial to pay their respects later on in the afternoon.
Here we are talking about the wars and the tremendous sacrifice men and women made so that we may be free today.
Some of the pictures are of the stones erected by Keith Heritage Group which list famous people of Keith and around about. The stones are just over the road opposite the war memorial. Some of these people were soldiers too so we put the last three Poppy Scotland crosses from our charity box there to thank them for their bravery. Our topic this term is Famous Scots and we reckon these local people were pretty amazing folk.
